What to have ready
None of this is required — call and we will work it out — but if you have it to hand, the first conversation gets a lot more useful:
- The building type and rough size. Device count drives most of what we can tell you.
- What the panel is doing, word for word off the display if it is in trouble. That text usually identifies the fault.
- Any correction notice you have received, and its deadline.
- When it was last inspected, if you know — and “no idea” is a perfectly common answer.
- Whether it is monitored, and whether anyone has confirmed it still reports.
If you have just taken over a building and have none of the above, that is the normal starting point rather than a problem. A walkthrough establishes what is installed, and it is free.
