What does a trouble signal on my fire alarm panel mean?
It means the panel has lost something it expects to see — a device, a circuit, its power supply, or its communication path to the central station. The system may still detect a fire, or it may not, and it may not be able to report one. Do not silence it and leave it. Note the exact text on the panel display and call (916) 970-0199; the wording usually tells us whether it is a battery, a device or a communication fault.
My panel keeps sending false alarms. Can that be fixed?
Usually, yes, and it is worth fixing rather than living with. Repeated false alarms are most often a detector at the end of its service life, one placed somewhere it was always going to struggle — near a kitchen, a dusty dock door, a bathroom vent — or a wiring fault that comes and goes. We find the cause instead of swapping the part and hoping.
Do you repair systems you did not install?
Yes. We offer testing, fire protection services and commercial fire alarm repairs for every system we sell and most other alarms on the market. If nobody has documented what is in your building for a few years, that documentation is the first thing we produce.
I got a correction notice after a fire inspection. Can you help?
Bring us the notice. It lists what the inspector found and gives you a date to fix it by. We read the notice, inspect the system to find out what is actually wrong, correct the items that fall under the fire alarm scope, and give you the documentation showing the work was done and tested so you can close it out with your authority having jurisdiction.
